What's new at the Wags property?

Updated: Sep 20, 2018

Construction moving quickly now for the Wags expansion and we are beyond excited about all the possibilities our new facility will be able to offer. We know you guys have been waiting patiently all summer long to know what's up so here are some pictures and information to show you what we've been up to!

Framing for Wags building is up!

This first picture is framing for the Wags building. This building will have 10 indoor / outdoor kennels, a office, a grooming station, storage, and a FULL bath for volunteers and visitors! Yes, a full bath. Sometimes dog rescue can be a dirty business. There will be 3+ play yards coming off the kennels. We plan to make the kennels more like doggie living rooms, each with their own style.

Second building is completed!

The blue second building is fully completed. We will use this for medical intake and isolation, more storage and an indoor, multipurpose area.

Awesome outdoor pavilion makes a great adoption meet and greet room!

There is a third building that was here that came with the property. It's a cute covered pavilion that we plan to use for an adoption meet and greet living room so potential adopters can relax and get to know their future pup. It also has an outdoor kitchen, and meeting area. We will keep posting pictures as the project progresses.

With 10 acres we have plenty of room for our rescue pigs, chickens and donkeys. Do you have any design ideas for spaces for dogs, chickens, pigs or donkeys? Let us know!

How you can help

Want to be part of the Wags barn raising??? Email us at: wagshopeandhealing@gmail.com and we will get you signed up for volunteer days.

Can’t be there physically but want to help? We need supplies ...fencing supplies or gift cards to Home Depot, Lowe’s, or tractor supply. Our single greatest need right now is fencing.

We are so excited to share more updates as progress is made so stay tuned. Thanks for your continued support through this transition!
