Finding a hero for one of our nation's heroes

Writer: Wags, Hope & HealingWags, Hope & Healing

Once upon a time, a Wags dog named Phoenix was adopted by a wonderful woman with a really special job.

Her job is to work with veterans that have been wounded. She came back to visit Wags with Colonel T who was looking for a companion. He needed a dog that would be his family pet and also be trained as a service dog to help him and others get through PTSD. That brings us to Hank.

Ashley Hermans worked with us to introduce Colonel T to lots of dogs at Bastrop County Animal Control And Shelter. Colonel T left that day with Hank, a big crate and all the supplies he would need to get started on their life together.

Today we are thrilled to share that Hank is loved and is officially a Registered Military Service Dog. We are so happy for you Hank and Colonel T!!! Hank, you look so handsome in your uniform!

Donate now to help us find more homes for dogs like Hank.
