Community outreach helps drive our mission.

We want to keep pets in their homes & promote spay & neuter.

Community Outreach

As part of our overall mission, Wags also does community outreach and enrichment. Our events focus on two core goals:

1) Keep pets in their homes and out of shelters

2) Reinforce our spay and neuter program which is designed to fight animal overpopulation in our communities.

During these events we invite anyone in the community to join us to learn about basic dog training & safety around dogs while offering medical sign ups (vaccines, spay/neuter, micro chipping) & pet supplies likes food, crates & leashes--all for FREE! Wags wants to be seen as a resource for central Texas citizens to come to should they need help with their dog.

By providing basic behavioral training, citizens bond with and better understand their dog, and have a resource to go to should they need help with medical care or basic necessities. This helps more people keep their pet in their home rather than feeling they must surrender their dog to the shelter.
